It's hard to believe that Little Grey Cat Studio is ten years old. Christine and I were just dabbling in art and it sparked the dream of being artists, attending art shows and seeing if we could maybe sell a few pieces. We loved the name Little Grey Cat Studio as much as the idea of forming our little "company". I'd never formed a company before, but it was pretty easy to do and we were soon applying to juried art shows.

Fast forward ten years and we've amassed decent resumes, and Christine's hand cut paper art has found plenty of admirers and collected a board full of ribbons and awards.

In celebration of our ten wonderful years we've decided take another step on our art journey. It's something I've always dreamed of, and the opportunity presented itself so I jumped at it. We're starting a "Guest Artist" program. For a period of time we'll feature guest artists on our website and online store, as well as our Facebook page. We think you'll like the added variety of artwork that you can see, and more importantly, buy!

When we started out we had no idea what we were doing but we've learned a lot in ten years. So now it's time, and we're honored, to help out new emerging artists who are interested in starting to sell their art. The guest artist program is a great way to mentor and feature new artists, and it gives guests to the website a chance to see something new and fresh.

Whitney Valerio is our first guest artist at Little Grey Cat Studio. I met Whitney years ago when she was still in school and she was interning at American Greetings. Since then Whitney has gone on to have a successful career as an interior designer. I have always admired her organic inspired artwork. I love the colors, and clean technique. When Whitney sent me a note saying she was going to start selling them on Etsy I asked if she'd be a guest artist at Little Grey Cat Studio, and she graciously accepted.

So we welcome Whitney and her awesome artwork. Take a look at our Gallery and Shop pages, several of her pieces are posted and ready for you to purchase.

Also we'll share her Etsy site info when it becomes available.
